None of the programmes of the political parties running in this year's federal elections is suitable for achieving the climate protection goals agreed in the Treaty of Paris. None!
Currently, humanity is heading for global warming of about 2.7 degrees by the end of the century. The Paris Agreement should limit global warming to 1.5 degrees in order to avoid the catastrophic consequences of global warming beyond this threshold.
The only choice we have in this election is to decide how fast we move towards catastrophe. So we have no choice. We can only consent to our demise.
