Good-bye!
I'm really fed up with all the whining in the German art scene about not being able to work anymore, about being subject to a "de facto" or "Kafkaesque" professional ban. No painter has been forbidden to paint pictures in the last 15 months, no photographer has been forbidden to take photographs. Those who wanted to write songs could continue to write songs. Or compose an opera instead. No actor was forbidden to act, all writers could continue to write books. Professional bans meant that you could no longer practise your profession because you were Jewish. Or a communist. Or black. Or because the authorities declare your art degenerate. If you can no longer practise your profession because you can't earn any income with it, then you are simply unemployed. Just like millions of others. But that's not what they want to be, the German artists, because that would mean being on a par with the "common rabble" whom they openly or secretly despise.
You bore me.
